I hope everyone had a great new year! My name is Samantha. I'm a junior on the Princeton campus getting a B.A. in music with a minor in music theater. I absolutely love traveling. When I was in high school I went to Brazil and then this past summer I spent 6 weeks in Europe. I got to spend time in England, Italy, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. It was an amazing trip, and I still can't quite believe how lucky I was to see all those places. The only thing is, all that traveling just made me realize how much of the world I still haven't seen.
I've never been anywhere in Asia, so when I heard the school was offering this trip I knew I had to go. I am ridiculously excited for it! I will be the first to admit that beyond the assigned readings I know very little about Hong Kong history or culture. This past summer I kind of had to just figure out things as I went on my own, so I'm really looking forward to having teachers there who can help us really understand, appreciate and discuss the things we are seeing.
It feels so good to be getting ready to travel somewhere! I can't wait!!!
